This can be used to develop very stylized menus and in this example we demonstrate all of these CSS options by creating a multicolored menu, a menu that consists just of images and no text, a menu which consists of both images and text to create a rounded button menu.

The videos contain:

Video 1 - Introduction and Setup

Video 2 - How to Style the NavMenu using CSS Control Class

Video 3 - How to Target and Style First and Last Menu Items and Sub Menus (MultiColored Menu)

Video 4 - How to Style Single Menu Items using IDs and Specific Paths

Video 5 - How to Style Menu Items in a Specific Path (Sub Menus)

Video 6 - How to Create an Image Only Menu

Video 7 - How to Create an Image Only Menu, Removing Text and Displaying Images

Video 8 - How to Display the Admin and Host Menus in an Image Only Menu

Video 9 - Styling the Sub Menu of a Root Image Only Menu

Video 10 - How to Create a Button Menu (Using HTML Separators)

Video 11 - Styling the HTML Separators for the Button Menu

Did you know that DotNetSlackers also publishes .net articles written by top known .net Authors? DotNetNuke 5.3.0 Alpha Release
Over the past several months we have been making some significant changes in our release process. We have made a commitment to monthly releases, opened up our code repository and in general have made a move to be more transparent. During this same period we have also made some changes to our development processes to separate our feature development from our bug fixes. The DotNetNuke 5.3.0 is our first quarterly feature release that is benefiting from this new development process. In addition to...
Did you know that DotNetSlackers also publishes .net articles written by top known .net Authors? We already have over 80 articles in several categories including Silverlight. Issue 54 - DotNetNuke Feedback, DataSprings Dynamic Registration, OWS Login and Twitter, RAD
March 2010

Welcome to Issue 54 of DNN Creative Magazine

In this issue we begin by demonstrating how to use and configure the DotNetNuke Feedback module. The feedback module allows the visitors of your website to send you feedback from a form in your DotNetNuke portal. We show you various options for configuring this module, including how to set it up so that a user can choose which department in a company to send feedback to and also how to allow users to submit testimonials and display those testimonials on your website.

Following this we cover the much anticipated part 2 of DataSprings Dynamic Registration module quick start guide. This tutorial demonstrates how to build more complex registration forms and interlink several registration forms together. This tutorial will enable you to create your own flexible custom registration forms to suit your own requirements.

Next, we continue the Open Web Studio tutorials, this month we enhance the OWS Login module that we have previously created by adding a "Remember Me" checkbox and a "Forgot Password" link. We also demonstrate how to create a Twitter module which pulls the search results from Twitter directly into an Open Web Studio module.

To finish, we have part four of the "How to Build a News Application with DotNetMushroom Rapid Application Developer (RAD)" article, where we demonstrate how to use Language Resource Files in the News application.

This issue comes complete with 15 videos.

Core Modules:

 Feedback Module
(4 videos - 34mins)

Premium Modules:

DataSprings Dynamic Registration Module Part 2
(7 videos - 68mins)

Module Development Series:

Enhancing the OWS Login Module and Building a Twitter Module
(4 videos - 35mins)

Language Resource Files With DotNetMushroom RAD for full Localization

View issue 54 to download all of the videos in one zip file

DNN Creative Magazine for DotNetNuke Web Designers
Covering DotNetNuke module video reviews, video tutorials, mp3 interviews, resources and web design tips for working with DotNetNuke.

In 54 issues we have created 549 videos!
Did you know that DotNetSlackers also publishes .net articles written by top known .net Authors? Using the DotNetNuke Source Code
DotNetNuke recently moved to an Open Repository that is hosted on CodePlex. As Phil Beadle recently noted, the synchronization process is now fully operational and is running nightly to ensure that the CodePlex repository mirrors our internal version control system. Of course, having access to the source code and understanding how to use the source code to get to a working build is two different things. The source code package that we deliver with each release is slightly modified from our own internal...
Did you know that DotNetSlackers also publishes .net articles written by top known .net Authors? Backwards Compatibility A killer feature
Over the last several years DotNetNuke has maintained a policy of providing an upgrade path for users running previous versions of the platform. Only in rare instances will we intentionally break a feature or an API or do something that would cause 3rd party extensions to break. Customers have expressed to us over the years how important it is to maintain an upgrade path. This concept is not unique to DotNetNuke. Various projects and companies will take a different stance on the topic. I was reminded...
Did you know that DotNetSlackers also publishes .net articles written by top known .net Authors? DotNetNuke 5.2.3 Released
Another month, another DotNetNuke release. With each passing month the Quality team continues to get better at building DotNetNuke in a repeatable manner. As a stabilization release, we focused this month on closing out the highest profile issues in the issue tracker. Just like Clockwork
At OpenForce 09 we made a lot of announcements about changes to the DotNetNuke project. One change that we announced was a commitment to provide more regular releases. Over the past several years we have always focused on making releases when the software was ready. This policy worked well when the project was staffed by volunteers as planning for fixed release dates is extremely difficult when you dont know from week to week who would be able to work on the project, or how much time they would have...
Did you know that DotNetSlackers also publishes .net articles written by top known .net Authors? Monkeying around with jQuery and the DotNetNuke Forums
I dont know if any else is like me, but occasionally I will run across something on a website and think that if only I could make some little tweaks to the site, that I might be able to make it more suited to how I think. Maybe it is just a bit of CSS that might clean things up a bit, or maybe if I could just re-arrange things on the page I would have an easier time finding that awesome feature that always seems to get tucked away in a hidden corner of the page, never to be seen again. I was on the...
Did you know that DotNetSlackers also publishes .net articles written by top known .net Authors? We already have over 80 articles in several categories including Silverlight. Well this past weekend it achieved this distinction and in the process surpassed 108,000 downloads! More......
Did you know that DotNetSlackers also publishes .net articles written by top known .net Authors? We already have over 80 articles in several categories including Silverlight. We also show you how to permanently delete items to ensure that your Database is regularly cleaned of old content.
Did you know that DotNetSlackers also publishes .net articles written by top known .net Authors?
